Why this directory exists

Security software is hard to compare when you are the only IT person, or when you run the company and also handle IT. Every vendor says it uses AI, every product page promises to stop attacks, and the real differences, such as who reads the alerts and what happens at two in the morning, show up only after you sign. We built AntivirusAir to give a plain first view: what each tool does, which job it is mainly for, and whether it works with the systems a small business already runs.

The site is for IT leads, office managers and owners at small and mid-size companies, and for the MSPs who look after them, more than for the people selling to them. We keep descriptions short and factual, mark what we couldn't confirm, and leave out scores we would have to make up. Tool makers can submit or claim a listing for free, and paid placements are always labeled.

We list defensive tools only, and we try to say what each kind of tool cannot do, because that is where small businesses are most often caught out.

How tools are chosen and described

A tool is listed once we have confirmed that its official site is live and that it does what our description says. Each tool sits in the one category that matches its main job, even when it covers several. We list defensive tools only: nothing built for breaking into systems you don't own. We don't publish scores, rankings or prices, because a score would be our opinion dressed up as a fact, and prices in security change often and depend on seats and add-ons.

Attributes such as "works with Microsoft 365" or "managed option with human analysts" are marked yes or no only when the maker's own site or docs say so. Everything else shows as not enough info. Tools we couldn't confirm stay off the site until we can.

Right now that is 78 AI security tools in 8 categories, last checked 2026-11-04.

Makers can submit or claim a listing for free. A person checks every request before anything changes. Paid placements are marked Sponsored wherever they appear, and they never change what we write about a tool.
