Huntress sells managed security products built for small and mid-size businesses, mostly through managed service providers. Its core product is managed EDR: a lightweight agent on each computer reports activity, and Huntress analysts in its security operations center review detections and send a short report with the steps they took or the fix they recommend.

Its identity product watches Microsoft 365 sign-ins and mailbox rules for signs of a stolen account, such as a login from an unusual place or a new rule that hides replies. Huntress also offers a managed SIEM and security awareness training. The agent can sit beside Microsoft Defender, and Huntress can manage Defender settings for you.

It suits companies with no security staff of their own, because the analysis is done by people at Huntress. Ask how incidents are handed to you or your MSP, which fixes Huntress makes on its own, and which ones need your approval.
