About Sophos Intercept X

Sophos Intercept X is the endpoint protection product from Sophos, managed through the Sophos Central cloud console. It uses a deep learning model to judge files before they run, and its CryptoGuard feature watches for mass file encryption and rolls affected files back to their earlier state.
EDR and XDR versions add a searchable record of device activity and let an admin isolate a machine or run a live investigation. Sophos MDR is the managed version, where Sophos analysts monitor alerts and can act on threats for you. The same console also runs Sophos firewalls, email security and mobile management, which suits small IT teams that want fewer separate dashboards.
Many small businesses buy Sophos through a reseller or managed service provider, who often runs Sophos Central for them. Ask who will receive and act on alerts, and which level of the product you are actually getting.
